OK so far In Heir of fire I am on Chapter 24 and wow this book is amazing. I will not lie there are things that I don't particularly like but so far I am really enjoying this book. But as far ans the general story and plot line goes this is a really well written book. It is one of those that you have to read the previous books or you'll be saying "hey I'm kind of lost here, what is going on". But if you have read the first 2 books then you will be ok. But back to this book being well written there is a great attention to detail in terms of character development. for example Celaena our main character introduced in book one has gone through major changes through all 3 of these books and it is very noticeable of these changes. And there is a whole lot more I can go into about character changes enough so I could make a whole seprate blog just looking at thoes changes in the characters.
I will say that the format of this book meaning how the chapters are spaced out I do not like. I am in no way saying I don't like the book or it is poorly written. But I did get a bit annoyed when I first started reading this because It would follow Celaena for one or 2 chapters then It would follow other characters such as Dorian The Crown Prince of Adarlan And Caol The captain of the guard. then after that the book would follow a witch and her training with these beasts called wyvern. When I was first reading the book as I've said I was really annoyed with this because the book would be following Celaena and a particularly interesting bit would come up in the book that I want to read and then the book would jump to a new character to follow and leave you hanging for at least 2 chapters and then finally you would get to the part you want. then this would repeat, Annoying I know the other stories in Heir of fire are interesting so the chapter format does have redeeming qualities. But I just couldn't get past the following one story then another than another. But eventually I did look past and got back to "wow this book is amazing!"
But all in all so far I really like reading this book. I don't know if it is me but once I've gotten into a good book it takes a lot for me to put it down and that is the case with this book and part of why I have put it down for a few days because I know if I continue to read it at this rate I will be done with in a week and I want to enjoy this story and not finish it in 3 days. But that is just me. So far what i've hoped for this book has been met and exceed and I cant wait to see what happens. Thank you Sarah J. Maas for these amazing books.
